Listening to Gubaidulena's 2017 "Tripelkonzert" is a musically dark experience.  From the program ~ "spare, austere passages for the soloist alternate starkly with orchestral passages." This music inspired a brooding house which features a lookout and a pool reflecting a clear blue sky.
